Dress Your Party Dress Like A Princess

When receiving a invitation to a party or ball, the first thing come into your mind may be the party dress you will be wearing in that occasion. It's irresponsible to just grab a dress then put it up, for choosing the right dress actually takes a lot of leaning. It is important not to just look at what is trendy, but also what suits you and what your personal preferences are.

If your intention is to only buy one and maximize its versatility, then you may want to consider a cocktail dress, but if your goal is to be Cinderella at the ball, then you should look into a formal ball gown.

Party dresses can pretty much be worn for any special event. Depending on the style of the dress, you could wear the same one to homecoming, prom, graduation, and your friends' wedding. However, since most girls like a new dress, chances are you will buy it at some point.

If this is the case, then consider what types of them you may already have hanging in your closet and find a style that could be better suited for different events, such as black tie formals and balls. This way you can build your wardrobe to accommodate different settings.

Depending on the event, you may want to achieve a different look. Of course, every you wear is going to look elegant and make you feel special. However, there is no doubt that certain party dresses definitely set a specific tone over other dress styles.

Magic Combination: Gold and Black

Back, a timelessly classic color; while gold, a sexy and chic color. What will the magic power they produce when the two colors are combined? Well, definitely it’s fantastic! It seems that the combination of the two colors never go wrong whether in formal or normal occasion.

As a shiny and bright color, gold always gives us the expand feeling which is hard to harness. When wearing this color, we should be careful not to overwork with it. For example your matching accessories, shoes, belt, etc.

Gold on gold is going to be a little too much, and gold with other bold colors will dazzle your eyes. While combining the gold with black that is somehow dark can make the focal point stand out without overdoing with gold.

Be Charming In Full-Skirted Dresses

While a mini hemline or a curve-conscious silhouette has some serious sex appeal, there's something equally eye-catching (and sweeter) about a ladylike look. Perfect for party dress, full-skirted frocks with cinched waists feel ultra-feminine and flatter just about everyone. Take a cue from this gorgeous celebrity lineup: Jessica Alba proves even metallics look amazingly ladylike in Thakoon, while Taylor Swift gives us all-out retro glamour in a scarlet-red Oscar de la Renta. Meanwhile, Miranda Kerr channels a little vintage romance in a floral-printed Louis Vuitton.

Part retro, all glamour — full-skirted dresses are taking over the red carpet on some of our favourite celebrities. Style stars like Taylor Swift, Dianna Agron, and Jessica Alba are embracing the feminine fit and flare shape in every form. From the red-carpet-ready versions to the pared-down and pretty for every day, the trend is one we're particularly fond of for this season. Nothing looks more classically ladylike than a full-skirted dress, bare legs and sweet heels to tie it all together.

Michelle Obama is a huge fan of the full-skirted silhouette, and she wears it in everything from dresses (like the green print dress, pictured) to separates. The First Lady favors a very flattering length for her height -- just below the knee -- and it looks fantastic on her.

Petite frames, like Sarah Jessica Parker, can pull of the full skirt silhouette. But it works best in sophisticated styles like this soft goddess-look dress. Avoid anything too short or little girly (especially over 40) on smaller women or you'll ridiculous.

Jessica Chastain shows off the shape in a brilliant McQueen frock.

Jessica Chastain stepped out in an ornate take on the trend in a full-skirted Alexander McQueen frock for the Elle Style Awards.

Katharine McPhee showed off a charming cap-sleeved LWD, complete with a full skirt.

Amber heads a full-skirted dress. She looks really charming.

Vintage Party Dresses for Your Fantastic Night

By far one of the most popular and desirable items of vintage clothing is the vintage party dress. Whether it is for the high school prom, hot date, music festival or party of the year, vintage party dresses are always there for you to choose! So, what actually belongs to the vintage category? Or in another word, which style do you prefer and will look great on you? I would like to recommend some basic styles of vintage range below.

Empire waistline
As the name implies, the empire dress has a higher waistline which usually begins just beneath the bust. This dress is always teamed with a long, full skirt which flows straight from the waistline. The empire style is perfect for those who have a bottom-heavy figure or thick waist as it skims and hides the bottom half.

Sheath/column
This body-fitting dress hugs your curves in all the right places and outlines the beautiful lines of your body. Sheath dress is especially gorgeous on the women who have the tall and balanced figure, for it enhance the charm and grace.

Ball gown
If you want to get a princess or fairlady look, the ball gown is definitely the best choice for you. It is highly elegant and always dramatic. The form-fitted bodice with a magic skirt flatters most figure types and is especially suitable for disguising large hips and thighs.

Short/mini
The short/mini dress has seen a real resurgence in the past few years. Short and sexy, the strapless version of this dress is probably the most popular of all the vintage party dresses, often referred to as the vintage prom dress.

Tea dress
Although it's still at the height of fashion, the tea dress is far from new to the fashion dictionary. Regardless of many designers attempting to revolutionize this style of frock, nothing compares to the historical, classic style of a vintage tea dress.

High-low dress
This style of dress is hemmed long at the back (at the ankles or to the floor) and just above the knees at the front. This is a unique, sexy party dress which is perfect for showing off long legs with its glam and pleasant look.

Baby Got Back! Backless Party Dresses Are Really Hot And Popular

If you’re looking for a sexy and perfect backless dress, you are in luck my friends. The backless dress for lady is suggestive and elegant, yet mysterious and vague. If you're not a fan of showing too much cleavage or, you'll be pleased to learn that the back is a good choice. A girl can look so covered up in the front but when she turns around, we are offered a visual appeal of her back.

Backless party dresses for example are popular with many women who prefer the classy look for a fancy dinner party, for it help them to captivate the eyes of a lot of men for their collection, sounds joking!

There are many reasons to wear a backless dress. They are made with thin material and so are suitable to wear in the hot summer months. The material serves to accentuate the curve of the woman's body which makes her look very attractive also. One more reason is that they are extremely classy to wear.

For a night out or a stunning event a backless dress is the perfect choice as it can easily build up you into the shining star of the party. For formal occasions, go with a floor-length backless dress, probably in a silk or satin fabric or go for a style of lace prom dress.

Remember to wear your hair up to emphasize your backless dress and your beautiful back. Put your hair slightly into a bun for a casual look.

Sequined Party Dress Helps to Turn Heads in The Party

Sequins are beads that come in the shape of disks and are used to embellish fashionable items for attractive purposes. These beads come in diverse colors, sizes, and shapes. Sequins are available in variety of colors such as pastel colors like pink, blue, yellow, orange and red; and also the traditional black and white. Sequins also come in gold, silver and bronze. The sequined party dress is a must-have for every party wardrobe because there's nothing like it when it comes to catching his eye.

Yet now the appeal of sequins is more widespread and extends to all age groups and every type of clothing. Sequins suit ladies' fashions or little girls' dresses. They look fabulous on full length gowns or tea length skirts or short/mini dress.

Keep in mind that sequins are synonymous with chic style. A sequence neckline or waistline draws attention. If you want to highlight a soft, draping skirt, a sequence at the waistline will emphasize its flowing folds. A pretty sequence provides distinct detail and definite style.

Sparkly metallic such as shiny silver and luxurious gold always light up the season. Actually, cool blue is expected to be the color choice for party.

Mostly, sequins used to be seen in silver or gold but now multi-colored sequins have entered the mix. Yet silver and gold sequins continue to spread party cheer.
